Fun facts!!

Sunda Pangolins existed alongside with dinosaurs on Earth 80 million years ago.
Pengguling means 'things that roll up' in Malay. Pangolins roll up into a tight ball to defend themselves when threatened. They are the only known animal with enormous scales! Keratin makes up their scales.
For 3 to 4 months after birth, baby pangolins ride on their mothers' tails.
Why are they endangered?
Hunting. The main threats to sunda pangolin are hunting and poaching for illegal trade. They are killed for the desire of human for their meats and their scales for medicine.
Habitat loss. Secondary threats include habitat loss, mainly caused by commercial operations like logging, mining, and hydro-power dams, as well as road building, which has enabled hunting and poaching by accessing initially inaccessible places for poachers.
